Dec 14, 2018. If you cannot wait for Borderlands 3 or have never played Borderlands 2, Borderlands 2 VR is perhaps the best excuse in a while to immerse yourself and return to vault-hunting on Pandora. 1 of 2 users found this helpful All this user's reviews; Psychic_Creeper.
Use the dualshock to play though, it's by far the superior way for long sessions and 360 degree instant movement! It's perfect for days when even moving your hands is too much to ask and you're looking for a middle ground between immersion and couch comfort.
As expected, the Move controllers are rendered as arms in-game: one for your weapon and one to move around.
Borderlands 2 VR is a must have … Game looks pretty good. Borderlands 2 VR is a must have have for any VR enthusiast. The game offers a mindblowing and addictive VR gaming experience. This is my first time playing the game and I'm loving it! Even with larger areas that can be traversed by vehicles, the game often boils down to corridor-like passages and outposts that must be taken down through brute force. Has a lot of options for adjusting the vr. Everything that people have complained about has been fixed.
Borderlands 2 VR introduces another feature, BAMF (Bad Ass Mega Fun) Time, which slows down time around you, so you can gain an advantage over enemies.
Reminds me of Skyrim psvr. One of the main issues with it is that by default it increases the tunnel vision setting to the maximum level — a visual effect that, while no doubt more appealing than dizziness or vertigo, makes the windshield look like a keyhole. There are a few other annoyances here, such as menus constantly being obstructed by clipping scenery. Once you get used to them you'll have no trouble destroying all types of enemies this game has to offer. So far I love it. The game also relies on an extensive and randomized array of loot and weapons, so every crate, drop and locker has the potential to be something special.
Borderlands 2 only takes advantage of VR when it’s trying to make itself work like a normal, non-VR game. Mixed or average reviews- based on 63 Ratings. So far I love it. I highly recommend it to any PSVR owner. At least when it comes to big triple-A games. After Skyrim probably the best VR game availabke on the PS4 VR.
This can feel strange at first, as your character's hands feel like they're stuck to your face, taking away even more immersion.
Its VR implementation is impressive but not perfect. This reminds me of skyrim vr which was incredible as well.

The grap[hics are a. Borderlands VR is actually my first Borderlands experience.
The simple art style and age of the title enable Borderlands 2 VR to run with fewer downgrades than expected, especially playing on a PS4 Pro. A bit like Skyrim. I also prefere realistic graphics above the cartoon like graphics of Borderlands.
The player takes on the role of a vault hunter who — you guessed it — hunts down vaults. Everything that people have complained about has been fixed.
I would say a 9/10. No DLC, this disappointing, but maybe them will be added later.
I had to turn off tunnel vision, use ds4, free movement, and snap turn for myself, so teleport is not your only option. The much-adored role-playing shooter Borderlands 2 makes a clumsy, ill-advised leap into virtual reality. Has a lot of options for adjusting the vr. Playing VR can be a lonely endeavor, and being able to invite another player into that world would've been a killer feature. A shame for a game that's a must on coop. The game has also been tweaked to accommodate this feature with special character skills, some of which replace skills previously used for co-op play that would otherwise not a serve purpose in this purely single-player adventure. Without it, it's tough to disguise the simplicity of the quests.
Whether you use moves or the DS4 a great time will be had. Throughout your adventure, you meet eccentric and aggressively "out there" side characters that range from the annoying Claptrap Roboter unit to the aforementioned arrogant Handsome Jack, one of the most memorable bad guys in recent video game history. 10. Rough-hewn and slipshod — and absent the cooperative play that helped define the series — Borderlands 2 VR tests patience rather than skill as its classic features prove badly suited to VR. It's also nice to have a game that take a really long time to complete.. You get your money's worth here! The core experience is the same with a few changes to keep it fresh. Borderlands 2 VR is a MUST HAVE for every PSVR owner!
The core experience is the same with a few changes to keep it fresh. The feeling that you are really there. The visuals look great and represent the game just as you remembered it. I preferred the move controls as they made everything immersive. It doesn’t even let you pick things up or touch the world around you. The game features a semi-open world with large area maps that are connected by certain entry points and separated by brief loading screens. To its credit, Gearbox has given us plenty of control schemes to choose from, from free roaming with the DualShock 4 to teleporting with a pair of Move wands (or vice versa), but no matter which you prefer running is limited to a leisurely jog. Given the emphasis on stats, you'll inevitably spend a huge amount of time in your inventory screen comparing and swapping out gear and making sure you're the most effective killer you can be.
I had to stop and focus to make sure I could read and see everything in the corner of the screen, but that's not helpful and slows down the game in several key situations. What you are probably not picturing is an awkward, unwieldy, often defective-seeming port, which reimagines the nimble action classic as a sluggish and clumsy slog for the PSVR.
Nonetheless, once you get the hang of it, it becomes a comfortable and easy way to jump into the action with minimal concessions.
The HUD minimap is by example difficult to see. Critic Reviews. The story premise is as simple as it is crazy. The controller scheme is fairly similar to Skyrim VR, as we have the option to either use full locomotion by pressing the Move button and tilting the off-hand Move controller in any direction or teleporting around. Some of the settings include blinders, move speed, turning, setting off the aiming in accordance to your Move controller position, and height offsets. yes there might be a few things that could be fixed but the positives sure over weights it all! A great conversion of a classic game. The PlayStation AIM controller isn't supported yet, but I'd be surprised if we didn't get a patch to rectify this oversight at some point in the future. based on
My only complaints would be no co-op option, or is far as I can tell, and lacking characters such as the mechromancer, but other than that I'm going to spend about 100 more hours traversing Pandora. Looting, shooting, and exploring are a lot fun in this title. It's breathtaking! Similarly catastrophic are certain unwise changes to the familiar Borderlands 2 gameplay having to do with direction and speed.
La grafica non è niente male, una delle migliori su PSVR. The VR experience makes exploring Pandora feel more unique and personal. The comically overdrawn aesthetic of the game transcends its visuals. These are minor gripes, but they break the immersion. Must have per il PSVR. I had to turn off tunnel vision, use ds4, free movement, and snap turn for myself, so teleport is not your only option.
The HUD minimap is by example difficult to see. I found it inordinately difficult to drive without crashing into rocks or trees or to even head in the right direction long enough to arrive at my destination. Reviewed on PS4 2 comments Tweet.
It's a fun way to revisit a modern classic, but isn't the best way to actually play the game. It’s hard to think of a single thing Borderlands 2 VR does that could only have been realized from this perspective. 21 December 2018, 10:08 am.
I got Playstation VR at the start, and lost interest.
On the other hand, this version is sold without any of the previous DLCs and does not support multiplayer. This is amazing,me being lazy always use dualshock to play, skyrim ect. 2D elements ruin the immersion and might force you to think about what you're doing, while a generally lacklustre frame-rate warrants bundling the game with a …
You can be completely stationary and teleport around (that may be quite stressful in heavy combat scenarios), or you can turn off everything and run through the scenery like the weapon-wielding madman that you are. The art style fits extremely well with vr too.
Now I have a reason to play the second Part again and I love it! Borderlands 2 VR is a lot fun when everything works, so it's definitely worth a consideration if you've always dreamt of actually being on Pandora.
